Why you will never be able to forget someone at all

You can't forget people.

Each person we met throughout our lives inevitably impacts us in some way, some more than others, but still, everyone leaves us with something, whether it's good or bad, or both. People can't be completely forgotten; one day, when you least expect it, just by listening, seeing, or doing the simplest thing, you can have a flashback about or with someone specific. You will remember that person who told you that bad joke you had already heard or the person that introduced you to a new music genre or hobby, the person you did something with for the first time, the person with whom you used to get into trouble all the time or the person that always annoyed you with that specific bad song. You will remember them all, not always but inevitably the memories along with what you felt at that moment will return briefly. They are somewhere deep in your brain. Even if you no longer have contact with that person or you never really talked to that person, or even if you ended things with that person; they all leave you with something and inevitably contributed to making you the person you are today. At the end of the day, we learn from other people. Even those we never put up with taught us not to be like them, or those who hurt us made us stronger. You learn from people, you learn from everything, in fact.

Each person that we once met made us feel a certain way and that feeling is never forgotten, every time you feel something similar again, you will remember the ones that made you feel that way and the situations where you felt the same in the past, like deja vus. Those feelings will always be there, not as strong as before but they will never completely go at all. People are unique, there will never be someone the same as the other. Similar? yes but not the same. That's why people often find strangers "familiar," because no one can completely forget someone else. The essence and vibe of each person are unique and therefore unforgettable. You will never EVER find the same person in someone else again because there is always something characteristic in each person, either its style, way of speaking, demeanour, vibe, walking, dressing, or something physical; especially if you got to knew the person very well at some point, you can't forget the confessions that they once made to you in their vulnerable state or their peculiar fixations, attitudes or way of doing things. Those little things are the ones that define a person, whether you knew them deeply or not, those are the things that don't allow you to completely forget someone.

People print on you, people mark you. Somehow, whether you like it or not, everyone you met throughout your life becomes part of you because they all impact you and leave traces that you can never erase. After all, we learn from them. We learn from everything we see and experience. That's why they say that you are all that you have lived, all that you have known. You are what you think, what you do, what you eat, what you like, what you don't like, who you spend your time with, what kind of people you surround with, what you speak, what you read, the decisions you make, your triumphs, your failures and mistakes, but most importantly, how you face everything that happens to you, how you treat strangers, the way you look at life and things, the way you get along with your friends and family, the way you react or not, the way you accept or not a mistake, you are what you promise and fulfill, you are everything and everyone you have known, you are everything that you have lived.

This is why people can't forget other people, not completely. They represent and are part of every phase of your life. They are all unique and irreplaceable. Memories, and the people with them, can blur but not be completely forgotten.

If I didn't convince you yet, then check this reflection I found on Pinterest:

So, never EVER forget that you are unforgettable, and watch out how you treat and make feel others, in other words, how you impact others because that's the way they will remember you. Would you rather be associated with something good or bad? You must be the person you would like to meet.

Hi, thanks for stopping by!

When I turned 16 I realized how much I enjoy writting and to share my thoughts and opinions, so given that I had a lot of free time during quarentine, I decided to create a blog to share my perspective with others. I rather sweet than salty and hot than cold, and I LOVE sandwiches chocolate (M&M's), cheese, and any kind of physical activity...

Let the posts
come to you.

Thanks!
