ABOUT 

My name is Melissa and I'm the author of this blog. It was during quarantine when I turned 16 that I realized how much I enjoy writing because I like to share my thoughts and opinions with others. And which other better way to do it than in a blog? So, I started this blog because I wanted to share the way I see the world with others. I want to share my perspective with the world! 

 

I also love writing because I believe that by writing your ideas and thoughts you make them permanent and somehow, when you leave something written it becomes official. It is as if you will freeze that part of you, like a time capsule since once it is written it becomes real and it is evidence of who you are. It is proof of something, whether it is how you felt at that moment or who you were or still are. The art of writing is incredible since words are powerful, with them you can unite and separate people, and you can break or make someone. Words are our daily weapons since we communicate with them. Think of it like this, wars have been created and revolutions have been initiated through the incredible use of words in those inspiring speeches that impact thousands of people in a short period of time. As well, I feel like through writing you portray yourself in words.  After all, it is a fact that you can know a lot about a person just by knowing the way it writes, what it writes, and how it writes it since that gives us clues about the way it thinks and what kind of person it is.

This is a general blog, with this I mean that I don't write about a specific topic or in a specific writing genre, I just write what pops into my mind or when I want to share a specific idea, experience, advice, or a strong posture I have about something. I write on this blog for fun in my free time, please don't take anything personal because it is not. Some of the entries will be and are actually my essays from school assignments that I liked and want to share.

I also decided to start this blog in order to improve my English, my writing skills especially, since at that time I was preparing for an IELTS exam because I was coursing high school abroad and applied to university abroad. I translate by myself each entry I write, sometimes I write it in English first and then rewrite it in Spanish or vice versa. There is a Spanish version of this blog, you just have to change the language, and BAM! there are my Spanish entries, the same as the English ones or more, or less because sometimes I might forget to translate the entries or just don't want to do it. I'm working on also translating this site into french by myself. I'm really working on that, but it's harder since I don't know french yet. It may take a little bit longer, you will have to wait.

Why RAMÉ? 

Well, I needed a name for my blog, but I couldn't think of something nice and cool, so I searched for uncommon words and I found Rame, which means "something that is chaotic and beautiful" in Balinese. My blog is about life in general, so I found this word related since that's how life is, chaotic and beautiful... and messy, you know, sometimes life sucks, but then it doesn't, and then again sucks, and it goes like that on and on and on, but in the end, it is all worth it because we live for those moments.

That's what makes life interesting.
